Creating Successful Small Businesses Blog
Why does the day run out before the task list does????I don't know about you, but it's simply AMAZING to me how quickly I can run out of hours in the day. Even when there are only a few tasks to be done in a given day, the day often finishes before the tasks do.
On the other hand, it's also AMAZING how many things actually DO GET DONE when you've made a firm commitment to do them.
This posting on my blog is a perfect example. I've been "meaning to" write on the blog a lot more often. This week, it really made me a bit unhappy that I haven't blogged anything in a LONG TIME. And so, I made the commitment to get this blog up and on my site by close of business today.
It's 5:30pm. I'm going to run and have a quick bite to eat, then I teach two classes and have an intro session with a prospective client before I can finish at about 9:30 tonight.
Once this commitment was made that I would definately have this posting up, it played in the back of my mind all day. AND... it's done.
So....
Here's what I learned. Commitment is one powerful force. Much more powerful that I had realized in the past.
Enough....
It's dinner time....
